It is truly wonderful that a pill has been developed to treat all
forms of hepatitis C. It is, however, truly deplorable that each pill
will cost $890 for the 12-week course of treatment.
I’m trying to imagine the look on the doctor’s face when they prescribe this miracle drug considering the likelihood of the patient’s inability to pay or the insurer’s unwillingness to cover. Ads sometimes tout the pharmaceutical companies programs to help those that cannot afford certain drugs. This drug definitely needs to be included.
