Punjab University has awarded PhDs to four scholars in different subjects. Shabnam Javed, daughter of Javed Sarwar, has been awarded a PhD in chemistry after approval of her thesis entitled “Phytochemical Investigation and Bioanalysis of Monotheca Buxifolia and Sorbaria Tomentosa,” Mahmud-ul-Hasan Bazmi, son of Muhammad Yahya, in Punjabi after approval of his thesis entitled “Punjabi Vich Quran-e-Majeed Day Tarjamay Tay Tafseeran Di Ravayat”, Jawad Haider, s/o Asad Ullah Haider, in Islamic Studies after approval of his thesis entitled “Shariat-e-Islamia Ki Taqneen Hudood e Kar aur Asre Hazir, Aik Tajziati Mutalia” and Sana Saleem, d/o Shaukat Saleem, molecular biology after approval of her thesis entitled “Dynamics of Hepatitis C Virus Quasispecies during Antiviral Therapy in Responder and Non-Responder Patients with Genotype 3a Chronic Hepatitis C.”
