Health and Population Minister Ahmed EmadEldinRady underlined that his
ministry issued a decision to allow 442,859 patients receive hepatitis C
virus drugs at a cost of EGP 2 billion from 18 October, 2014 until now.
He further said that the report of the National Committee for the
Control of Viral Hepatitis which he received showed that 83,000 patients
were offered medications during the phase between 18 October, 2014 till
18 September, 2015.
Meanwhile, about 294,704 patients were treated between 19 September, 2015 and 19 June, 2016.
