PORTSMOUTH —Families First partners with the Joan G. Lovering Health Center to offer rapid HIV and Hepatitis C testing on-site at Families First. These tests are done with a finger stick, not a blood draw, and you'll have the results before you leave.
Both Hepatitis C and HIV testing are recommended for individuals with past or present IV drug use, sex partners of IV drug users, and men who have sex with men.
In addition, Hepatitis C testing is recommended for anyone born between 1945-1965.
If you have health insurance, your insurance will be billed. If you are uninsured and fall into either or both of the above categories, you can be tested for free.
Stop in on the first Friday of each month from 1:00-4:00 p.m. (Next dates: August 5 and September 2.)
Families First Health Center is located at 100 Campus Drive, Suite 12, Portsmouth.
No appointment is needed. You do not have to be a Families First Health Center patient.
